About Lawnise

Lawnise is building Independent AI Trust Infrastructure for enterprises. Our platform verifies the AI an organisation deploys and the public AI that represents it, producing traceable evidence across trust, risk and security. We begin with regulated financial services in Malaysia and Singapore.

The mandate

What this role is here to establish

You will lead the hands-on human assurance workflow around Lawnise's verification platform: validating evidence, challenging weak or duplicated findings and preparing consequential cases for governed adjudication.

You are the bridge between machine-generated observations, professional review and the customer's operating decision. Your work must be useful to practitioners, defensible to another reviewer and honest about uncertainty across both public AI and the AI an enterprise deploys.

Why now

Why this role matters now

A verification platform does not remove the need for professional judgement. As Lawnise moves into enterprise engagements, customers need dependable review, clear evidence, responsive coordination and a traceable route from finding to action. This role makes that operating discipline real—and feeds what it learns back into the platform.

Accountability

What you will own

  • Define engagement scope, success criteria, evidence requirements and decision boundaries with the customer.
  • Review findings across public AI and Internal AI engagements, challenge weak evidence and identify false positives, false negatives, duplication and material uncertainty.
  • Prepare, review and coordinate adjudication under the approved methodology and separation-of-duties requirements.
  • Escalate regulatory or legal interpretation to the customer's responsible function and counsel; Lawnise does not replace their legal judgement.
  • Produce clear evidence packs, executive readouts and service reviews that distinguish facts, interpretation, limitations and recommended action.
  • Coordinate customer evidence requests, review meetings, clarifications, assigned actions and follow-up through handover or continuing verification.
  • Maintain quality across working papers, decisions, corrections, Truth Packet preparation and customer communications.
  • Improve review rubrics, evaluation corpora and methodology with engineering and research teams using observed cases.
  • Escalate security-sensitive findings to the authorised security reviewer rather than extending an assurance judgement beyond your remit.

Evidence of impact

What strong performance looks like

  • 01Scope and decision boundaries are clear before findings are interpreted.
  • 02A reviewer can follow the evidence from observation through judgement and disposition.
  • 03Executive communication is concise without erasing uncertainty or limitations.
  • 04Similar cases receive consistent treatment, and exceptions are reasoned and recorded.
  • 05Customers can adopt the operating routine without becoming dependent on undocumented individual knowledge.
  • 06Product changes are informed by real assurance failure modes rather than anecdote.

Evidence of fit

Experience that will help

  • Significant experience in compliance, operational risk, internal audit, regulatory reporting or assurance within—or advising—regulated financial institutions.
  • Experience evaluating evidence, recording reasoned findings and defending conclusions under review.
  • The ability to read regulatory and policy material closely while recognising the boundary between operational adjudication and legal interpretation.
  • Experience presenting consequential work to risk, audit or senior leadership forums.
  • Strong working-paper discipline and precise written communication.
  • The judgement to challenge both automated output and confident human assumptions.

Additional context

Relevant, not required by default

Experience with AI governance, model risk, responsible-AI frameworks or technology assurance is useful but not mandatory. Familiarity with vendor-delivered assurance or managed services will help. Bahasa Malaysia is useful for the launch market; Chinese-language capability may support some customer contexts.

Working together

How the engagement works

We are open to a full-time or fractional arrangement, depending on experience, availability and the delivery model agreed together. You will have clear authority within the approved methodology and engagement scope.

You will not be asked to give legal opinions, certify conclusions beyond the evidence or collapse required separation of duties into one reviewer.

The final arrangement, responsibilities and decision authority will be confirmed in writing before the engagement begins.
